Drew Bird

Clear Point EQ - Principal & Lead Facilitator

Quick Bio

I am an established leadership and organization development practitioner with experience working with organizations and groups of all sizes. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with organizations in Canada, the US, and the UK, including the London Stock Exchange, the Bank of England, the United Nations, Microsoft, and Osborne-McGraw-Hill. This broad exposure has allowed me to see first-hand what a difference effective leaders, and effective leadership practices, can make to an organization, and the people that work within it. I have years of experience leading teams, departments, and divisions, in a variety of environments.

On the academic front I hold an MSc in Organizational Psychology from the University of London, England, and an MA in Leadership from Royal Roads University in Victoria, Canada. I’m currently preparing for Doctoral-level work. I am a member of the Canadian Psychological Society (CPA), and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).

I’m a Premier Partner and approved certifying trainer for the EQ-i and EQ360 instruments by Multi-Health Systems (MHS), the worldwide copyright-holder and licensing authority for the tools. In addition, I hold certifications as an Achieve Global Master Trainer, I’m a qualified MBTI practitioner, and I’m certified in the Hogan HDS, HPI, and MVPI instruments.

In addition to my work with coaches, consultants, and HR professionals, I work directly with select clients from both the private and public sectors, including Alberta Health Services, the largest healthcare-provider in Canada, as well as Interior Health, Northern Health, and the British Columba Health Leadership Development Collaborative (of which I was a founding member). I also work with clients in the Oil and Gas sector, non-profit associations, and investment management. I was a member of the design team that received an ICF Prism Award for our work developing an executive coaching program for a 20,000 person healthcare organization.

When not pursuing my passion for organizational and individual improvement, I’m an avid sailor, cyclist, wannabe surfer, and movie hound. My love of travel has taken me all over the world, including Canada, the US, Australia, Africa, and Europe.
