Terpin is co-founder of BitAngels, the the world’s first angel network for digital currency startups, and managing partner of bCommerce Labs (www.bcommercelabs.com), the first technology incubator fund focused on e-commerce companies for bitcoin and the blockchain. Terpin is also a partner at Flight VC, where he helps run the AngelList Bitcoin Syndicate with legendary super-angel Gil Penchina. In addition, Terpin is an investor and advisor to many media and technology companies, including CoinVox, ChangeTip, CommPro, eSpend, GoCoin, Liquipel, Revenue.com, Rivetz, ShapeShift, Walls360, XFire and YouMail. He also serves as a mentor at Plug and Play’s bitcoin/fintech accelerator and at SparkLabs, a Korean technology incubator.

Terpin also founded Marketwire, one of the world’s largest and most technologically sophisticated company newswires. Originally known as Internet Wire and backed by Sequoia Capital and Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Marketwire was acquired in 2006 for $33.5 million. In addition, Terpin is founder and CEO of Transform Group, a marketing holding company that includes SocialRadius (www.socialradius.com), one of the nation’s first social media marketing firms, and Transform Public Relations (www.transform.pr), a global digital PR firm. In July 2015, Terpin was named one of the top 50 PR people in technology by technology guru Robert Scoble.

Terpin holds an MFA in Creative Writing from SUNY at Buffalo and degrees in Newspaper Journalism and English Literature from Syracuse University, where he serves as an advisor to its top-ranked Newhouse School Public Communications and was inducted into its prestigious Wall of Fame in 2000.
